Smoking on School Grounds

Dear Families,

Developments from a recent visit by Wyndham Council regarding a concern about a parent continually smoking at the entrance of the school. They have advised that the Tobacco Act 1987 states that smoking is banned within four metres of an entrance to all Primary and Secondary schools in Victoria.  It’s also a legislative requirement that each school displays ‘no smoking’ signs at all entrances to the school grounds.  This will be rectified next week.  Please ensure you adhere to these smoking guidelines and be mindful of children in close proximity when smoking.

Thank you.
