Dear Families,
Construction is well underway at Point Cook South Senior Secondary College (interim name), the new senior school for Point Cook South.The college will open Term One 2020 with Year 10 classes. This is great news for our community and construction works can be viewed at the site on Pt Cook Homestead Road. Foundation Principal Michael Fawcett commenced in the role at the start of this Term (Term 3) and will be based at Alamanda College in the Secondary Building, during the initial phase of Construction. Feel free to drop in and see Michael anytime, or call the college on 83765200.
A Public Meeting will be held on Wednesday 14th August at 6.00pm at the Alamanda College Theatre to outline plans for the Senior College. All members of the Point Cook community are welcome to attend this infrormation meeting.
Alamanda College students at year 7 -9 will receive a letter detailing this public meeting soon.
Enrolments:
Enrolments will commence after our public meeting in mid - August. Contact Michael at Alamanda College for more information. Current Year 9 students at alamanda College and other families living within the new school's neighbourhood zone are encouraged to enrol. Additional enrolment events and information will be circulated in the coming weeks.
Am I 'in the zone?'
Information on whether your child lives within the zone for the new school can be found at www.findmyschool.vic.gov.au What this means for your child will be discussed at the Information Evening or call Michael if you have specific questions about enrolment.
