The Year 3 students recently attended their annual camp to Camp Oasis in Mount Evelyn. It was their first time running the camp in two separate groups and they were pleased to announce that both camps ran successfully and smoothly. All staff members who attended the camp were extremely proud of the students as they represented Alamanda College beautifully and truly demonstrated what it means to be internationally minded.
The camp encouraged the students to be open-minded, risk-takers and clear communicators as students were required to work cooperatively to complete assigned tasks such as; setting up for meal times, completing group challenges and supporting each other as not only classmates but as friends. It was wonderful to see these learner profiles shine, as each student engaged in different activities such as, The Flying Fox, Low Ropes Course, Reptile House and Crate Climb. All students and staff who attended the camp thoroughly enjoyed their time.
We would also like to take the time to thank all of the parent helpers who joined us on our journey. You truly were an incredible help and programs such as these couldn’t run without your support – so thank you!
