To celebrate Book Day and this terms successful Unit of Inquiry which unpacked folktales, the preps visited the enchanted land of Fairy Park in their favourite costume. The day began by waiting patiently for seven buses that accommodated all fourteen prep classes. Our adventure then took off and the students, educators and parent helpers were all very excited. Once we arrived, it was time for snack. We found our allocated picnic spots at the King’s Castle and the Ye Old Shelter. After snack time, the prep classes began their day of quests. We discovered many different folktales that were written by the Grimm Brother’s Jakob and Wilhelm. The folktales included, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and The Beanstalk, The Three Little Pigs, Pinocchio, Puss in Boots, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Puff the Magic Dragon and many more. The students also had the chance to explore the Camelot Playground where they uncovered hidden dungeons, tall castles and mysterious creatures. After a magical day, it was time to head back tothe King’s Castle and the Ye Old Shelter for lunch and a charming departure back to school. A special mention to all our parent helpers. Thank you for your support and assistance. It was a wonderful day for all
