Alamanda students participate in Cross Country Trials

The Physical Education Team would like to formally welcome all parents and students back to another term at Alamanda College. The teachers and students have had a busy start to the term, with each year level currently focusing on different fundamental motor skills to enhance their skill development. This term, students have started developing and working towards their goals within these particular sports:

Preps- Perceptual Motor Skills

Year 1 – Throwing and Catching

Year 2 – Dance

Year 3 – One Handed Strike through Speedminton

Year 4 – Lifelong Sports

Year 5 – Basketball

Year 6 – Athletics

On Wednesday May 1st, a range of students in Years 4-6 participated in a Cross-Country trial, in the hope to be selected for our cross-country team. Well done to each and every student who tried out and congratulations to the students who were successful. A reminder to those students that practise sessions for the event will be run on the Alamanda Community Oval during the following dates and times:

Friday 3rd May – 3:00pm – 3:45pm

Monday 6th May – 3:00pm – 3:45pm

Wednesday 8th May – 3:00pm – 3:45pm

Monday 13th May – 3:00pm – 3:45pm

Wednesday 15th May – 3:00pm – 3:45pm
